About the marketplace

ONEST connects customers with independent sellers. Sellers set their own prices, stock and product descriptions. The marketplace is not the seller of listed items unless a listing says otherwise.

Accounts

You must give accurate information and keep your password secret. Passwords are stored as salted scrypt hashes. You can ask for your account to be closed.

Orders and payment

Orders are only confirmed once a payment is genuinely completed. In this demo build payment is simulated with a sandbox step and no real money moves.

Commission

The marketplace charges sellers a commission on the product subtotal of successful sales. Delivery fees are shown separately to customers.

Prohibited items

Counterfeit goods, stolen goods and any item that is illegal to sell in South Africa are not allowed.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified before they take effect.
